Joel attends UNICEF's U.S. Fund annual meeting

Joel attended the annual meeting for UNICEF’s U.S. Fund in Atlanta, GA. Donors, corporate sponsors, NGO representatives, and UNICEF staff came together to discuss the issues of child survival. The audience heard successful stories of UNICEF saving children’s lives by distributing needed vaccines to providing clean drinking water to children around the world. For the first time, the number of children under age five dying had dropped significantly from previous years.

Joel also participated in CNN’s global broadcast, The Survival Project: One Child at a Time. Anchored by CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the special will focus on healthcare, education, water sanitation and protection from violence for children.
